Toward a replacement vehicle
If your vehicle — with the Assurant-approved anti-theft system properly and professionally installed — is declared a total loss due to theft by your primary insurance company, we will pay $5,000 on your behalf toward the purchase or lease of a replacement car.
Important limitations
- Depending on the state where you live, the Theft Deterrent product is considered a limited warranty, a limited vehicle protection warranty or a vehicle service contract. In Washington, the limited warranty is known as a Protection Product Guarantee.
- This Theft Deterrent product is only available with the purchase of a qualifying anti-theft system.
- This anti-theft product is not considered insurance and does not replace insurance on the covered vehicle. You are responsible for the insurance required by the financing contract or applicable state law.
- In states where Theft Deterrent is a vehicle service contract, purchasing it is optional.
Not all exclusions may apply in all states and coverages may not be available in all states. Review the Theft Deterrent product contract applicable to you for exact coverage, exclusions and limitations.
